Marketplace Minister – Marketing Executive

 A full-time ministry opportunity

The Worship.Works Career Programme places participants in paid employment while they earn a competitive salary, working alongside other believers on the programme. You will be trained in the theology of work as worship, be mentored in ministry by an experienced colleague and take part in daily work-based prayer. You will be actively encouraged to apply what you learn as you carry out your day-to-day work placement.

The work placement: Marketing Executive

We will place you into a partner business where we will support and train you as you grow in serving the Lord through work.

The Marketing Executive role will join a marketing team of three people in a business consultancy based in central Kent. Responsibilities will depend on your experience to date, and may include:

  • Drafting and posting social media content, including on LinkedIn, X, Instagram and other platforms.
  • Contributing to media assets for social media such as reels, animations and carousels using Canva and other tools.
  • Supporting other colleagues with their social media contributions.
  • Maintenance of CRM using HubSpot, including building marketing automations and reporting.
  • Website content management.
  • Liaising with agencies including our SEO and PR agencies.
  • Internal communication on the company’s marketing activities and outcomes.

The following skills and experience will be beneficial (training will be provided where necessary):

  • Experience of serving God through work.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to write for social media and web content.
  • Familiarity with principles of SEO.
  • Proven ability to design and manage high-performing digital advertising campaigns.
  • An eye for excellent visual design.
  • CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Social media analytics and scheduling tools.
  • Media production using tools such as Canva or Adobe platforms.
  • Website content management platforms such as WordPress.
  • Project management tools such as TeamWork.
  • Office tools including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

For this placement, we are looking for a candidate who has some relevant marketing experience that can be applied immediately and will form a base to build upon. You will be provided with additional relevant training so that you can continue to develop your marketing skills.

Career development

The role is a permanent position, with plenty of opportunity for growth. Your personal development will be supported by weekly 1:1s with your manager, and quarterly performance reviews.

Hours, remuneration and benefits

The role is full time, forty hours per week. A competitive salary will be paid, based on your skills and experience.
